Default Sti Red Manifold

Is there any difference (other than being painted red) between the Sti Red Manifold (sti5 or 6) and a std UK MY00 one ?

Anyone know where to get the 'real' red paint for the inlet manifold, have one with just a speck of paint left!

I nearly bought one on ebay, but wasn't sure if they were any different!

You would've thought they would be bigger bore, ported, higher flowing, take more boost pressure, leak less....

not just be painted RED!!!!!

Although its an aerosol, doesnt the manifold have to be extremely hot for the paint to take, or can it be sprayed on, fitted to the car, then taken for a blast to cure the paint ?

Yeah dead right ! It wants to be so hot you can't pick it up to get the best results. It takes about an hour to rebuild a manifold after stripping all the junk off to paint it. Best done over a weekend if you want it to last and amaze your friends

'then taken for a blast to cure the paint ' Red crackle coated dead flies now there's a thought !! LOL
