2nd hand - occasionaly, not sure on price
BHP Gain - some, and more safety as cooler charge. But larger turbo and desire for higher power really needed.
Fit - not too hard if you have a few tools and a bit of knowledge of cars, and willing to cut a few holes! More time consuming and fiddly than hard from what I read. Allow 1 1/2 to 2 days to fit at home.
Search for say Hydrid FMIC and see the guys fiting fun.

Don't GAIN bhp by fitting one, unless its the limiting factor - simply allows engines other mods to be increased, without increasing the intake temps too high....
What are you running - wouldn't bother under 300bhp....
I was running ~280 from my 98 UK Turbo with td04 on the topmount - only fitted FMIC so I could go higher (td05 swap)

EDIT : I'm adding that my 'gain bhp' statement is a bit of a wide statement!... If you're running a td04, the TMIC can cope with the 280-290 bhp that the turbo can max out at, so adding a FMIC will not give any extra...
