Change Timing???

Change Timing???
Is there anyway of changing the timing to go with mods without having to do a full re-map or having a third party ECU installed? Bikes have a Power Commander thingy that plays with the ignition timing I believe to achieve an 'elementary' remap for slip-ons etc ....!
