Default Fuel Pressure or Oil Pressure

I'm going to buy a set of Defi gauges in the group buy.

I definitely want boost and oil temp.

Which would you go for Fuel pressure or Oil pressure and why?

Oil pressure is more critical to engines well being, and probably more likely to give you a reason to be glad you monitored it...imo!

If you lose fuel pressure your car stops, if you lose oil pressure your bank balance goes down, a lot!

Oh yea, I know this marine engineer who had an old mini years ago. He fitted an oil gauge, low oil pressure engine stop and a pre-warning alarm, probably a bit of over kill but it did save the engine one night on the way home from the pub. Contents of sump found its way all over the road. Cost him a hose not an engine.

Murfs.

In the event of an oil pressure drop would you notice it on the gauge and be quick enough to stop the engine in time? If the oil pump fails then you really have a matter of seconds to shut things down before your engine does it for you ... no?

Is there not an oil can warning light that comes on in the event of low oil pressure?
