Default turbo knackered?

I have MY 95 WRX recently bought. I have a screeching noise when the turbo comes in around 3500rpm. Checked hoses for air leaks and tightened up. Changed oil recent with synthetic. Is there a format when changing oil. e'g bleeding turbo etc? Ifd it comes to the worst and I need to replace turbo, is there just the TDO5 for this year.

Thanks guys, any advice is appreciated.

Only the TD05 or the TD04 from an early wagon will be a direct fit. You can fit one of the later turbos but will need to adapt the air entry pipe as the later cars have a direct(under manifold) instead of 90 degree(over manifold) air inlet. The TD05 turbo on your car is rebuildable for a fraction of the replacement cost.

There are no special requirements for an oil change regards the turbo but it is good practice to fully prime the filter then build engine oil pressure on the starter motor for the sake of the bottom end bearings.
