What MY?
Induction Kit could be causing you to run lean or starting to effect the MAF sensor. Many people would recommend you return back to the original airbox with a decent panel filter eg K&N, Green, J&R or STi.
If your CEL is coming on you could also read the fault code, if you have a classic

Cheers guys. its 95/96 series mcrae by the way. i found that when i change gear i sometimes here a little rattle, hence this also only happened after induction was put on. i guess i'd better take it in, i just don't wanna pay out more money just yet...however, i did ask about the induction and they said it would be ok, so if not.... hmmmm???

Diagnostics indicate code 32 - oxygen sensor. Does this indicate u/s lambda sensor?
