Default MY98 ECU

I;ve just wired up my AVC-R onto MY98 car, and in process, took the ECU harness out of the ECU in order to gain access. Now I've connected it all up, and car goes on ignition, but won't start... It feels like immobiliser has kicked in. Is this the case, and if so, do I have to take it to Subaru dealer to reset it, or is there any way around it? Thanks

Well, while i was working on the ECU, the battery was disconnected, so that won't cure it...

yep your immobiliser (inside the ECU) needs to be reset to the key

It's the same ECU though. The key is programmed to the specific ECU. So just by unplugging it, it will clear that memory, and I have to go pay the dealer for that pleasure? Madness. I think I'll put the Apexi Power FC now, though it'searlier than planned...
