Question Closed Deck Block

What are the benifits of having a Closed Deck Block?
Are they stronger?

Does a WRX RA MY94 have stronger pistons/rods etc than a UK MY94

And what about the gearbox (close ratio MY94) can this handle more torque than UK?

Cheers
Scott

I've always been told that the closed deck is less prone to warping. If you call this stronger, then yes. The physical attributes of the open deck block look very flimsy in comparison.

As for the other questions, I'll leave them to the experts
