Default Switchable maps - emissions?

Heard talk the other day that PSI3 were going to instroduce a feature on their SECS units that would allow you to switch between maps on the newer cars. I did wonder who would have any use for this but did just have a thought

Is it possible to produce a retarded/low power/whatever map that would allow a decatted car to pass an emissions test? If so, one could switch maps whenever the car was being tested....

Don't know if it's possible to produce such a map but like I said, just a thought....

It's pretty much impossible to pass an emissions test without a cat - strictly speaking, it's a cat test, not an emissions test: without a cat, it's impossible to get the lambda value to the agreed level while keeping the CO(2?) within the correct values, & vice-versa. i.e. you can get the car to have lower emissions without a cat than with, but it won't pass the emissions test .
