Question How much does it cost to replace the clutch?

As per subject, for a UK MY98 Impreza turbo.

I dont want a fancy pants clutch kit, just something reasonable. Think I have read about Borg & Beck on here?

What can I expect to pay for kit + labour + VAT = ???

Ta

Bloomin' heck, you're not kidding! (Full race spec clutch, supplied & fitted £475 (will need uprated release bearing £65) - dunno if thats inc VAT but assuming its not then thats ~£635.

Local dealer said £750, TSL (AP clutch, re-engineered flywheel, uprated release bearing, new pilot bearing) said £840.

Subaru book it as 5 hour job i believe, so unless you can do it yourself, scoobyclinics price is very good.

scoobyclinic only charge 20UKP per hour IIRC - fantastic value compared to other places' labour rates eg my Subaru dealer @ £57/hour plus VAT

Take it to scoobyclinic m8. It's places like them that take the sting out of owning an Impeza.

Cheers guys. I will have a word with SC. Its 200 mile round trip but is easily worth it by the sounds of it. Actually I need a bit of paintwork sorting and SC get raved about for their body work. Got a mate in Sheffield so I feel a visit coming on. Drop car in at SC, go visit buddy
