I have just purchased a replacement Oil filter and oil but have noticed that the oil filter I have received is an Nippon Parts version. It certainly looks the same as the oem version but its Black and not Light Blue. Anyone used one of these before and are they safe to use ??

 

does it say made in tokyo and haver the egine printed on it and says subaru tokyo if so then its a oem japenese filter!

 

Been using them for 3 years and had no problems.
