Default What front diff have I got?

Hi,

I would like to know what type of diff is in my car, its an Sti V, Transmission code: TY754VBAAA (I presume that the front diff is a part of the box??). I am getting rather disconcerting noises and need to know if I should be getting them!

Thanks

Have you got a "normal" STi5 or a Type R/Type RA (with driver-controlled centre diff)?

If you have a DCCD, any odd noises you're hearing are likely to be coming from that. Make sure you back the diff control wheel right off when you're driving at low speeds or reversing and they should go away
