Default sti maf

Hi all
Have seen on ebay a sti maf and was wondering if it makes any difference to the wrx one?
My scooby wrx is a 93 saloon running with a 95 wrx RA ecu. Wold there be any point changing my current stock maf to an sti one?

Thanks

Johnny

No Johnny.
Different maffs give different readings and the ECU is set to work with those readings. An Sti MAF will not give you any performance gains as apposed to a wrx MAF but it might make it judder and jerk as if it were doing a break dance as you try to drive it

If you need to change your MAF due to a fault code, unstable idle or any other symptom then you should only replace it with the same MAF type/modell.
