Can i have peoples opinions on the TD05
I have one on a MY94
What is the difference between straight entry , and angled
pros and cons
Is it possible to change it to straght entry.
Also it is very laggy, Would a de-cat help with this

the 05 can be converted to front entry with a new compressor cover, cost just over 100quid. I'm not sure exactly how much you gain from this, but it does seem to be a popular mod. Also the TD05 should not be a very laggy turbo although it is quite big if you're only running near standard power.

I think that the td05 isnt all that below 1.2 bar, prolly a td04 is more suited but above the 1.2 then its a td05 all the way .

A TD05 at 1.2 bar at 6000-6500 RPM is fun though where a TD04 is blowing hot air at 0.9-0.8 bar. In the midrange it feels quite lively at 1.4 to 1.5 bar, which with the right bits should be fine except for the gearbox.
They can still run good on right angle entry, exhaust is important as well as boost control, the combination will make a huge difference.
