Unhappy Bonnet won't close....

tried to close the bonnet on my MY01 WRX and the damn thing won't lock shut, checked everywhere but nothing seems to be blocking it, a good source reckons WD40 should do the trick, anyone else seen this??

Hi
Had this on my MY00, closed the catch with a large screwdriver while the bonnet was up, then released it again. Never played up since.

Yep, happened on my MY99 too. Followed the same technique as Jt.

Default Bonnet Catch

Hi,

Mine did that once - I went and bought a new cable as I thought it was goosed. All it really needed was a bit of WD40 and rub with a rag to clean off the crap that had built up. Good as new now.
