Angry Disconected boost gauge pipe!

Hi all
I i said earlier i went to get the down pipe fitted with no luck and after the garage gave the car back to the other half, she notices it running very poorly indeed. She met me at halfords and when she started the car it didnt sound to good (hard to turn over/poor idle)
I noticed that the boost gauge wasnt working so looked under the bonnet and found that they had disconected the boost gauge pipe!
i just wanted to know if it has caused any dammage to the car? I reset the ecu for 45 min at halfords and went to the pub with the Doreen and all is brilliant.
Anyone give me some reasurance on this ?!?!?!

Thanks

Johnny

So are we talking a simple case of dragging air into the engine? If so it will make the engine run lean I would imagine. I dont think there is enough air to do damage to the engine due to the diametre of the pipe.

If its under boost then its only an air leak right? Running rich?

Yeah
She picked it up, put a tenner in then drove to me at halfords, off boost all the way which is a total of about 3-4 miles.
Like i said, it is running like a dream but just wanted to make sure.
