My MY98 UK is having a problem with second gear at the moment. First thing in the morning, I can't put it into 2nd gear without some force... once warmed up, it's not too bad, but still not really smooth - I can still feel it grinding a little. Don't know if it's the syncro gone, or if I just need to tighten the clutch cable. If it's the later, where is the clutch cable? I might give that a go before I send it for a rebuild.

Try changing the gearbox oil first or even dipping it to check the level !!! If you change it go for good quality oil Etc

Dean, Changed oil to Redline Shockproof a few weeks ago already. It's better than it was, but still hard to put into 2nd when cold...
