mpg?
I have just had my 93wrx fully de-catted and have noticed a increase in mpg. managed 26 - 27 mpg on long motorway run. does this sound o.k or is the engine running lean.
what is the average mpg for a 93 wrx?

60 miles for £10 is roughly 7 miles per litre
Its roughly 4.5 litres in a gallon
so its about 31 mpg

i just set a personal record of 290 miles on a full tank of optimax (£41). The better weather definately helps. Used to get about 260 miles in the good weather but have now added an afterburner backbox - must make the difference!

Forgive me if i'm wrong but to get good mpg you'll be off boost, which means that the ECU will be hitting 14.7:1 AFR for the journey. It doesn't matter what exhaust you have on in that case.

jay m a - i do not know much, however surely with an aftermarket exhaust, there is less resistance, even at low sppeeds and so one would expect improved fuel consumption. surely my findings noted above are testiment to this?

So far on my 94 wrx, on the current tank I am at 163 Miles and I still have half a tank left (and even that is with a bit of booting it to **** the vectra drivers off) but the rest of the time I rarely go above 2.5K and drive like a granny andd no boost.
When I first got it, I spent £120 in 4 days and got 500 Kilometres (pre conversion) out of it, but that was down to a) me on boost everywhere and a very dodgy Blitz DV.

most miles
I have just got the most miles out of my WRX UK300 - 330miles!!!!
Was a trip down from Newcastle mostly at 70 with some short trips since with some loud pedal
I normally get 220-280 miles
Keep it out the boost and yu can get canny MPG but as we all know that is quite hard

get around 260 miles avg, bit sick as my mate has just had his 4 ltr range rover converted to gas and it now costs him £21.00 to do 300 miles.
wonder what the Subaru would run like on gas

hehe, if only
my point was we dont always have to drive flat out, sometimes it is more appropriate to just pootle and it was nice to see that el scuby can manage more than pi55 poor mpg if you do
cheers
