Hi,

I have a standard MY02 WRX, apart from a Prodrive backbox, what engine mods can I make that won't affect the warrenty, or can't be seen if I have to make a claim, i.e an ecu remap maybe.

Thanks for any info,

Pittsey

Your best speaking your the dealer.
Some will over look some mods others won't

ECUTEK uses the same ECU (just reflashed) but they will know somethings up if they drive it!!
If you get caught out it could be expensive if they refuse a warrenty claim

You could dig deep into your pockets and get the PPP. You've already got the BB so see if the dealer will do a deal. All you need is the remap, cat removal/replacing and the I/C pipe.

Uprated panel filter or the PPP. As to anything else, as Dyney says, speaking to your dealer would be a good move.

Just because the ECU isn't physically interfered with doesn't mean the remap can't be "seen". If they drive the car and find it's boosting higher than it should, it doesn't take much to work out what's causing it.

In any case, claiming (on the warranty) that it's standard when you know it isn't constitutes fraud, and can land you in deep doo doo. Is it really worth the risk?
