Default Replacement lambda sensor.

After several weeks of running my lambda link I'm fairly convinced my lambda sensor is shagged(prob been on car 7 years and 80k!)
I've searched through posts on here and i'm unsure whether to change for an OEM or a universal type. Subaru are quoting me £121 inc vat which is slightly less than BR developments quoted. (search suggested trying these several times.)
My question is am I wasting my time with a universal one at £40 or so? Will it be false economy? Anyone have any experience of these, good or bad?
Should I just bite the bullet and order one from Subaru?
Any comments would be much appreciated,
Cheers all,

Ritchie.

I tried a couple of cheap ones as a cure for my 93 WRX, but they kept failing. I went to David at API engines and he sorted me with a Bosch one. Reasonably priced as well.

So I take it you've had no probs with this one then? What exactly is reasonably priced?
cheers
