Question K&N, Green Cleaning kits?

I am running a green panel and my Dad has a KN replacemnet in his Saab. My question is do I have to buy the cleaning kits for each of the filters or is just one of them going to be okay for both filters?

will probably get shot down in flames for saying this but, i've been told that the green cotton and k&n are the same filter made by the same person, therefore the cleaning kits should be the same.(FFS don't go out and buy a cleaning kit on my probably wrong info though )

right, if that doesn't get you a reply nothing will

Best to get the cleaning kits for each, its a bit daft spraying red oil all over your green filter and vice versa

I would get both products to be on the safe side, I've had both filters, used the K&N cleaning kit which comes with red oil, to show that all the filter element has been covered. cheaper to spend £20 on two cleaning kits than £46 on a new filter.

Suppose you could use the K&N oil on your green filter but you'd then have a Red filter ......um
