I have a 96 2000 turbo, when i put my foot down in 1st gear the car jumps and stutters just as the turbo kicks in and back fires. I changed the air flow meter box and the problem is still there when holding in 2nd and third beind a car just about to over take and i put my foot down again it stutters and sometimes back fires like a load bang.Ive just changed the spark plugs what could it be its doing me head in...... Sounds daft but double chech the main earth/bonding cable is still attached to block correctly

 

yep i have had it all checked out

 

could possibly be a fuelling prob, best to check one system completely first ie, fuel then electric, not sure if any of this helps. Hope u get it sorted m8.

 

how do i go about checking fueling probs

 

I would buy a AFR monitor and watch it carfully
