Unhappy Lamdalink/O2 sensor problem.

I have a MY01 WRX. I have just fitted a lamdalink but no matter what I do it permanently reads 9%CO (full scale), even without the engine running. I have checked with my mechanic and i have definatly wired it to the correct places, green wire to engine for earth, white wire to the white sensor wire (I have also tried it on the blue sensor wire, no difference), red wire to switched live, black wire to earth(seperate earth to green wire). Is there anything else I can try or is it likely my O2 sensor is knackered.
I had the exhaust replaced with a full decat 6 weeks ago. It was also remapped at the same time so it must have been ok then.
Help, anyone?

Mark

Despite what they say in the documentation, it is better to earth the black and the green wires TOGETHER, by earthing the both of they to the ECU mounting bolts.

Also, the cream/white wire (SIGNAL) must be SOLDERED to the ECU connnection wire, NOT crimped. Crimping it results in an incorrect voltage signal reading and the L/Link and ECU fuel incorrectly.
