Bosch part no for 3 wire sensor is 0258 003 254. For the 4 wire sensors use the Bosch universal 0258 986 505. I find the 505 works very well on 3 wire models as well with sensor earth tied to ground. This way the sensor does not have to rely on the exhaust for earth.

FYI the Bosch Part Number on the Sensors are not recognised by Bosch dealers. Something to do with it not being a genral released part.
Therefore I assume the part number above does not come with the Scoobie Connector ??

I would imagine not. Bosch will be contracted to make the OE parts for Subaru.
You can get the original Subaru one from other suppliers than Subaru UK, so there must be some distribution channel for them.
If the part is the same in other markets (i.e. Europe, JDM, USDM) then it's feasible to source from there cheaper that the UK.
Would need some help from a Bosch dealer/agent to find out how the distribution channel works.

The 254 sensor does have connector, 505 doesn't. I keep the 505 in stock, but I would need to order the 254.
By the way, I am a Bosch Service Agent / Bosch Car Centre.

The 254 sensor has been superceded and the last 3 digits are now 995.
The 995 and the 505 are available from Bosch UK - I was quoted prices of £44 plus VAT for the 505 and £56 plus VAT for the 995. Prices include a £5 delivery charge from Bosch to my local motor factor.
What would they cost through you Job?
Cheers

Scott; alternative numbers for the above Bosch uni's are 0258003254 goes to 0258986002 or LS02, 0258986505 goes to LS05- my company Facet UK ( factory in Italy)make both as universals only at the mo- should be around the £40 mark from a Factor.
PS if you are a Factor operation the prices to trade are significantly lower.

Most convenient option would be to the earthing point above the anti-beaming bracket on the front bulkhead, but the best option would be to pipe it through the bulkhead and terminate it on the ECU case.

Hi,
Yes, I am that person from Dunfermline. £30 for the 505 is a really good price. The best I can do is 35 plus dreaded.
When you use a 4 wire zirconia sensor on a car with a 3 wire zirconia sensor, you need to run the grey wire (sensor earth) to any earth on the vehicle. In my opinion it is better to use a 4 wire. That way the sensor does not have to rely on the exhaust for signal earth.
