New Legacy owner many questions
Okay so I just bought a 95 legacy outback that needs alot of work and I have a few questions.
1 what is the fluid in the diffs supposed to look like? Mine almost looks like honey.
2 Once the car hits around 10-15 mph I get a bad vibration from the driver side rear of the car. Any ideas?
And if this is not the right forum for the legacy outback please direct me too it.
Thanks
Chris

Yeah I know that it is supposed to look like honey but this just looked weird. Like it had air bubbles in it. I dont know. The noise sounds almost like a wobble or like the rotor is rubbing the caliper.
On a side note my A/T oil temp light flashes after I start the OB and the manual says to bring it to the dealer. What does the flashing light mean? How do I fix it?

Chris,
Check your bearings, if they're that worn, you'll fell them clonking when you shake the wheel.
Caliper check is easy, but don't forget the drum brake (handbrake), could be over adjusted.
The onboard diagnostic 'OBD' lamp will flash, whether there's a problem or not.
I don't have the codes for A/T.
Normally, a continous flash means the sytems 'ok'
