Default Racing fuel 102

Just wondering what the exact problems are with running this fuel
I know it had lead which cant be good so it can stuff up ur lambda
sensor ....
What else?
How about if i mixed it with normal 93 ron ... ie 20l 102 racing with 30 liter 93 ron ????

any advice is much appreciated

102 Race fuel contains lead? - where did you get this from?

Dont see any point in mixing it with lower Octane fuel.................. you'd be beter off just by getting octane boosters

In any event you'd need to have it fully remapped anyway......if your running higher octane fuel and is hotter as a result through increased ignition advance the spark plugs may need tobe changed.....and/or mapped to take full advantage...........

You also need to consider the fuel that is being used, not just the octane rating. Some race fuel is denser than others......so for some race fuel it needs to be leaned out a little (i.e. not all race fuel is the same) - of course if its the official Group N stuff then it will be but this is not the best fuel for power........

Best fuel for power is the stuff that has a higher Oxygen content..... i.e Octane levels are not everything............

Mail me if you want................

leaded race fuel will ruin a lambda sensor fairly quickly

Leeps: Where are you located ? Do you have problems getting decent quality fuel ?
If the race fuel is high lead content as used in historic racing for instance it could effect your Lambda and catalysts if you have them.
It is not really a practical proposition. Also bear in mind in case you are thinking about it that 100 low lead ie. 100 LL Avgas is by comparison to road fuel very high lead content so that is not a good option either.
If your problem is a lack of availability of decent fuel you could try 3mls per litre NF which will raise the octane by something like under 3 Ron or you could try Methanol or Toluene both of which will increase the octane of the fuel but as Methanol has a high oxygen content you may need to consider a remap.
Hope this helps.
