Poorly car, need your advice

The car is MY98 Turbo fitted with full decat exhaust and cone air filter, this is the problem. Car seems to be using alot of fuel at the moment even for a scooby the exhaust tip is getting very black with sut (possibly backs up fuel consumption), car hesitates on putting your foot down and also the car feels like it has a missfire sometimes.
Any ideas ??????

Lambda possibly or MAF. Have you tried an ECU reset to see if any codes are displayed? Best to take it easy (ie TLC with the throttle) until you can identify the fault.
