Default PC Link help

I've installed a serial link and connected this to my laptop using pclink but I keep getting a failed to connect message.

If I use comlink when data logging the line moves across the sceen but no data is logged.

Any ideas, I'm only in interested in monitoring the MAP etc I'm not trying to upload new maps.

Did you plug in the SerialLink to the ECU, click on "connect to ECU" and THEN turn on the ignition?

I'm sure this is thie way I used to do it with my Link and never had a connection problem.

I'll check tonight and post back once I know more.

Yes it is important. You need to click on the communicate with Link button BEFORE you switch on the ignition.
