Right here goes, Jap 95/96 Wagon STI... i am wondering what these 2 items are as follows.... 1) A round sensor thing on the dash to right of the windscreen demister vent. 2) Another sensor thing on the front map or interior push switch lights, looks like an infra-red kind of sensor..

Any help would be greatful

i think the one by the demister is a light sensor for the air con. not sure though

 

The one by the demister is a sensor for your climate control, don't know about the other one.

The one at the top between the two reading lights is an infr red sensor for the factory keyless entry.
Dosent make a difference if you havent got the fob,as long as your alarm controls the central locking.

The other one is the sunlight sensor for the climate control (auto setting on the heater speed switch)
