My MY03 JDM STi Spec C has never gone out of the bottom green, a bit scary but hey, ill have her checked out again
The knock light will flick red though if you get it, and you will notice it flash (and possably hear it too, from the engine!). There is no verbal warning, just visual.

You can crank the sensitivity up to max, mine is on there already, its the 11 oclock position

sensitivity should be at max. Adjusted on yhe link with a small flat blade.

Check the knock sensor is located under the intercooler on the n/s.

If these are both ok then it just means your car is running well, I only ever get the two greens, caused by engine 'noise' just below the limiter.

Gareth.
