hi im sure my fuel pump is on its way out so ive got one on order with the group buy. but the question i want to know is would this cause the check engine light to come on. i was just driving engine started to splutter and i think caused fuel cut the light came on pulled over light still on just crawled it to work stranded in leeds at work now.
will it be ok to drive it home for about 6 miles then just park it up the walbro pump is arriving on monday.
what should i do just call the AA or drive it back??

 

Have you tried doing a diagnostic check with the block connectors under the dash. To be honest if your a member of the AA, and they will recover you home and do that to be on the safe side.

im at work now mate so cant do the diagnostic test mate finish at 7 so just wondering if i should risk driving it steadily home and park it up.after it spluttered it did run fine but the check engine light was on. arghh this is doing my head in

 

bit late now, but i doubt it would run at all if the fuel pump was broken, mine didn't.
