oil filter
I am changing oil & filter MY99 2000 turbo main dealer has supplied different filter to existing one (smaller) he says they are all like this now it also looks different inside anyone got any coments

This is one of the main reasons why the new filter is smaller:
It needs to be to give a bit of clearance on the equal length/twin scroll cars.

...and to think they come as standard on the MY03 and onwards JDM STi's (although they're hidden behind shields). 
Mind you they're also proof (if any were needed) that you can't please all the people all the time. Subaru start putting these on, and all a lot of people can do is complain about the end of the "Scooby burble", whatever exactly that is...
