Default Power Engineering Ecutec 2 Chip

After the group buy could someone tell me what the car is like to drive with new chip fitted.
I know that P.E. offer various choices, does the "max mpg map" increase power much?
Someone who had a chip fitted for mid-range torque and not outright power what were your power figures and new mpg figures?
My year 2000 car recently purchased is a lot thirstier than my 96 car 20 mpg against 27 mpg and and concerned when I get the new chip will always be filling up!!
(The 2000 car has exhausts mods, 96 car standard.)
All feedback would be useful.

Cool

Hi Mate

Mine is a UK MY98 which had around 245BHP with a full decat and induction kit b4 the remap.

I then fitted a VF24 turbo, 440cc injectors, uprated fuel pump and regulator and had a PE remap on the group buy. I requested 300 BHP and as much torque as they could give me with economy off boost.

I got the car back with 311BHP and 288lbf

She runs as well as b4 and then a whole lot more when you floor it! There is no more lag than before, she pulls away as cleanly before but tends to light up the road when she is floored in 1st and 2nd

Economy hasnt really changed a whole lot with the last 3 runs giving me 22 / 21 / 22 MPG which was about the same when I had the decat zaust give or take a MPG. Ok if you drive around with your foot the floor all the time you are not going to get those figures.

Have it done you wont regret it ! Best £ for power you could ever get !

Cheers

Neal

I have a my2000 uk turbo with full de-cat and tec2 done at PE. The power is great all through the rev range and much smoother. Im getting 24mpg although i dont know what it was before the remap.

Since my Tek3 was done, i now often see 23 - 24 mpg as opposed to 21 - 22
