What model of car ?
Generally - you have to bolt the sensor to the top of the engine then run the sensor cable through the bulkhead.
Connect it to the display then find power for the display (back of cig lighter, radio etc)
I helped my mate fit his to a STI 5 - we found removing the intercooler the easiest way, as the connection point for the sensor is a bu**er to get to.
Easy DIY job if your OK with a spanner.
Took us a couple of hours but would take us no more than 30 mins now we know what we are doing.
