Default service cost

cars going in for its 60k service and i looked on scooby clinic web site for list of serivce parts and cost and i worked out i need the following for a serivce? brakes and cambelt don't need doing, so wondering if anything else i need?

Oil+filter= £60 Fitted

Spark plugs £50 Fitted

Replace gearbox oil £45 Fitted

Replace diff oil £22 Fitted

Replace brake fluid £30 Fitted

General check over (fluid levels etc) £25

comes to around 270 for a service ?

Think coolent should be changed at 60k

yup, coolant and then 4 hrs labour, should end up around the 500 quid mark in total.

i do mine myself as well, simple if you know wot u are doing.

oil costs me £12 5w30 fully synth (yes i know people use other types!) and its a very good local brand.

oil filter costs about £6 ( 'comline genuine jap parts, not a genuine sube, cos they cost about £12!)

air filter costs about £5 (as above i use a 'malhe' or 'mahle' one)

fuel filter costs about £17 (comline genuine jap!)

i do oir and air every 2k miles and takes less than half hour.

just shows how much people are making out of us.!

Tony, how come 4 hrs labour to do a coolant drain/refill ? Is this because the official process of how to ensure no bubbles are left in there takes 4 hours ?

got 60k done at a main dealer not long ago about 340 i think.
