Default ECU Light Flashing

Can anyone help - 2000 WRX, standard.

After giving the car serious grief, the ECU light starts to flash at me for a while, no apparent loss of power though?

From new the car has also had a slight missfire when revving towards 5500 RPM and beyond to the limiter??

Dealer cant trace any of the above by the way

Unfortunately, you can't use the same process for checking codes as the classics. And you say the dealer can't find any faults using select monitor...?

The dealer says to bring the car in when the light flashes - everytime we take it to the dealer the light never makes an appearance!

I was just wondering if anyone else had the same thing happen as its a mystery to the dealer

In anycase, the car will shortly be converted to a Group N Rally car, so most of the original electronics will be replaced or modified

Yeap - Its been my company car for the last three years and in march it becomes mine for a very small fee

The idea is to build and develop the beast into a very decent Group N clubman car. Ive kinda got a head start because i work as a rally instructor at Phil Price`s, so testing is not a problem

I dunno, it's alright for some! A scooby owner, WRX, company car, then a Group N rally car... Talk about having your cake, eating it, regurgitating it, then eating it again...!

(I'm just jealous, our company car scheme consists of the amazing choice of dual fuel Vectra, or dual fuel Volvo S40... )
