I assume you don't like the Tarox discs or Green stuff pads? Well, that's a good start - they are just cheap OEM replacements. Look to a mjor mufacturer for their good stuff - Mintex, Ferodo, Pagid, AP, Bembow plus a few otheres. They make the real ting.

If I was you, I'd go for the most expensive kit I could afford. 6-pot APs on 17in wheels, fitted with Ferodo DS2500 pads front and rear. plus AP ultra fluid. (my car is the same as yours). This gives massive stopping power, time after time on a track, and also bites well when cold. Front/rear balance is good, too.

You can get close the this kind of £1,800 stooping for much less. Contact Godspeed for one of his specials. Or Stockcar is very a helpful and can supply most things.

Richard.

You don't need to spend anywhere near that sort of money to get reasonable stopping power. A set of good (Pagid RS4-2.1/Mintex 1155/Ferodo DS2500) pads, braided brake lines and high temperature fluid will work wonders, although TBH you'd probably be better off with standard plain discs than those Tarox things.

Try Performance Braking on 01600 713117 for some good advice as well as the bits you need.

I'd be inclined to try 1144 mintex for fast road.

although 1155's are my choice for fast road / track they can be a bit noisy.

the red and green ebc compounds aren't too clever. however, the new yellows are proving to be a damn fine compound. not really suited to just road use though m8.

I just got 1155's and really pleased with them.

AS performance did the best price, and I searched for quite a while.
