Dash Illumination?

Can anyone help..just collected my95wrx and noticed that the whole dash does not illuminate.
It has an aftermarket white dial kit fitted,the outer rim lights up(the numbers and centre wrx logo),this can be altered by pressing a switch repeatadly on the speedo clock bezel surround.The mileage counters and actual needles dont atall.
Is this a fuse blown?if so any idea what position is it?

Sounds like the centre bulbs are kaput 
Remove the instrument cluster, you`ll find a couple of black or grey bulb bulb holders at the back. Take them out and you`ll probably find the bulbs are knackered Either that or the condoms on the bulbs are too dark to allow light through. In which case just take them off
