Hi Guys

Fitted a forge Atmos to MY02, last week. Have messed around with the diferent springs etc. It seems to dump great from 2000rpm up
to 5000rpm in 1/2/3 gear but 4th it doesn't. And if I go right to the top of the rev scale it doesn't dump much at all if any.
Is this normal on this car. I have had various turbo cars and this
has never happened to me before. I am not sure how the boost works/ comes in on my scooby. please help and tell me.

It ought to dump in every gear on gear change, particularly if you're reving the **** off it...! Maybe your DV is leaking from the increased load pressure from top gears? Does it make a noise whilst accelerating in 4th, and does it pull as it should in 4th?

As far I can tell it doesn't sound as though its leaking. Although
presumably if there a softer spring it would start to open sooner.(or am i talking Bo*****ks)
I have messed with the springs and depending on which one i use the dump valve starts dumping at different revs ie softer dumps from 2000 up to a limit ,firmer spring doesn't dump till 3000 and goes to a higher limit through the rev range etc.
The car pulls right through all the gears.

Same thing happened to me in my RSt.

I think the spring is too hard, my theory is that first, second and third gear run full boost and maintain full bosst (or at least for longer). Fourth and fith you will find the boost quickly tails off down to about 8psi (I may be totally wrong) and therefore the dumper doesnt make the noise as loud. Try changing gear in fourth (and lifting off throttle in fith) just as full boost is felt - does she dump then?

I have a bailey on my impreza now and it dumps all the time.
