S202 ECU into STI8?
What do you mean by "STi8"? Are you referring to an MY02, MY03, UK or Japanese market car?
If you have a UK car, no, it's unlikely to be a good idea. Even if this ECU was electrically compatible with your car, it's difficult to judge how you'd gain, and any gains could be offset or maybe even outweighed. Don't forget that the Jap ECU's are mapped for 100RON fuel, so you'd be tied to a supply of octane booster, while differences between the S202 engine and your own would mean that your car wouldn't suddenly produce S202 power anyway...
Either way, it's not worth invalidating your warranty to find out.
