Did the earth mod to my car on Friday. Drove car Saturday and cheak light flashed on while slowly going round right hand bend, dipped the clutch, revs dropped to tickover, light went out. Did'nt have time to cheak code before driving to work today. On way to work cheak light on again, just cruising, would not go out at tickover, turned off ignition, restarted car, no cheak light, drove home, 30 miles, all ok.
Pulled out codes, 24-idle control and 32-lambda, tried to reset, wires under dash, won't reset.
Help! Please.

what MY car? I know the pre MY97 idle controllers can stick - especially when running over rich because of a lambda sensor fault.
You can get hold of a workshop manual from the internet (my bookmark for this is at work ) so you can see where the bits are...
The idler will clean up with carb cleaner and the lambda sensor may well need to be replaced. If it is a zirconia one, then they are quite cheap. (£30 + soldering a new connector on them)
A tell tale sign of lambda failure is even more silly fuel consumption than usual!
Sorry this is a bit brief, I'm off to bed.
