after having my TEK2 ecu upgrade done at PE, I am now having a de-cat downpipe fitted. do i need a remap/tune up after.

well im no expert and might be wrong but you might have overboosting probs.When i went down PE i had decat and tek2 done in the same day.

I guess your car is MY99-00, right?
If yes then from what have read TEK2 is a basic map - as PPP - suitable for cars with full exhaust including decated downpipes!
Of course overboost is always possible with decated downpipes but easily cured with wider size restrictor on solenoid.
