Will this work and what year car do I need to get it off.

Seen them for 160 delivered. Or am I being stupid?

You can get a Z4 ECU and plug it in directly (from a MY96 WRX)

Or you could get a ScoobyECU chip when there is stock. This will cost approx £100 and get you a little more than 260 and allow you to run on super/optimax without booster.

But if I get the newer ecu then put a scoobyecu on that wont that be even better?

Scoobyecu has its own map with overrides the std map, it doesnt matter which one you use IIRC.

There is a very slight benefit in chipping the new (Z4) ECU, as they are little more stable with the ScoobyECU. Probably not worth the extra £150 though!!
