Nobody will help you until you

a) Stop SHOUTING

b) Tell us more about your car and its current setup, not least the model year.

Incidentally, call me cynical, but the chances of you getting 355bhp out of an otherwise standard WRX (even an old, big turbo one) with nothing but a Superchip are somewhere between anorexic and non-existent, so if you're trying to troll, you might as well give up now, er, LOL.

If we don't know what mods you're running, and exactly what sort of IHI hybrid you're talking about, we're wasting our time trying to give you constructive advice, so start making that list.

As for who you've blown, and what you get up to with your daddy, that's nothing to do with your car one way or t'other, is it?

And, seeing as you didn't get the hint last time, please turn your CAPS LOCK off before replying.

Mark

You posted a question, greasemonkey requested you turn off CAPS as it is considered inpolite to post in CAPS, if you have poor close up vision then you can use Microsoft's in built magnifier to assist you. He offered to provide you with information, but asked if you could provide some additional information about your car so that he could give an informed opinion. The difference between standard Scoobies from year to year and UK to JDM are significant, then when you start factoring in modifications the differences are positively huge.

Questions along the lines of "If I put a turbo in my car, how fast will it go?" are similar to "How long is a piece of string". Without knowing the other variables it is just SWAG which doesn't help you anyway.

The thread degraded rather rapidly when rather than removing CAPS and providing information about your vehicle you came back with "I HAVE HAD SO MANY MODS WHOULD TAKE ME AN HOUR TO TYP", you didn't even provide the basics as requested and yet still demanded "CAN U TELL ME NOW WHAT I ASKED". Why would you think anybody could now answer your question when they couldn't before?

I think you have made a rod for your own back - if you come on with a "bolshi" atittude demanding information and ignoring civil requests then expect to get flamed.

OOOHHHHHH YES! I have to give my 50p's worth now

There are people on here who have posted good, reliable, honest information (did I just say that) so if you want the advice, give us the information required to make an impartial judgement for you.

If you want to be childish mate (we are only having a giggle so CHILL OUT!), then go and find a BB that puts up with your drivel

You might even find that a board like that will tell you that you can use a superchip on your car with NUL and loads of advance at 2.2 bar boost and the engine will be fine for 1000's of miles

Your attitude to the long time existing member is not the best for getting good info out of a bunch of quality lads (and lasses)

Rant over, going out to the playground now to play with my friends on the swings :

Russell

Right Tone, that's the last time I answer one of your posts!

what is a hybrid turbo,
Hybrid just means it's bits of a couple of different types of turbo bolted together (although that description doesn't do the process justice!). Could be a Garrett compressor with a VF turbine, TD05 turbo with a TD06 front end, or whatever. A mongrel/crossbreed, if you will.

how is it differant to standard scoobsis it a good value £ per bhp mod
These are "pieces of string" questions really, and to be honest there are better people to ask than me. I'm far from the undisputed master of engines, I just know a little about a lot of different things.

Hybridising the turbo gives more ability to use the "best bits" of different turbo designs all together, as well as customise the spool, flow and efficiency envelope of the turbo to a specific application. This can give useful gains over an off-the-shelf turbocharger provide the turbo is well matched to its intended use.

You'd get most info from speaking to someone like Mark Aigin (aka Lateral Performance/R19KET) or Harvey as to the whys and wherefores.

With regards to hybrids, look for proven results, look at the turbos people are using to get 11s quarters for example - TD05, TD05/06-20G, Garrett/P20 hybrid. Some of these turbos spool up better than other hybrids that are not delivering these sorts of results (VF hybrids using VF turbine wheels which don't spool up particularly well considering their limited power).
