I'm changing the turbo hoses on my MY00 this weekend, just wondered if i just use the original jubilee clips or whether i should get better ones. Seen some in DT which come in at about £70 for 6 so i aint getting them.
Seriously though are the original ones O.K? On the one pipe there is those clips that are just under tension, are they easy to get off?
Cheers James.

If you're fitting silicone hoses don't use clips where the thread is cut right through as when you tighten the clip it will cut the hose, your local diy shop will sell clips good enough for the job, but ideally you want stainless steel which will be dearer, unless you have them at work like me

Second Jim's comment - don't reuse the standard ones as the thread goes right through the jubilee - when I took my Samcos off recently to remove the intercooler, the exposed thread had cut into the pipe. I ordered some replacements from Demon Tweaks - were about £3 each I think, and had bevelled edges too.

Cheers Lads, been up to Demon Tweeks today when passing, and got some MILKALOR clips, cracking clips as well and got the better type for the cheaper price as they were out of stock off some off the cheaper ones.
Just need to fit them now on Monday.
James.
