As a tuner I get often the question: "I would like to have over 300 HP in my Subaru and the turbo should produce full boost at around 3000 RPM, if possible at 2500 RPM"

This is IMPOSSIBLE when you keep your 2.0 litre engine! If you want full boost below 3000 RPM, stick with the TD04. If you want more than about 270 - 280 HP, take another turbo. (eg. TD05) I see you have already a TD05, that one is capable to give you nice HP. Don't expect it to give max. boost at 3000 though......

Mark.

was in a car yesterday with a tdo5 on mapped and R&R'd 320ish and the turbo didnt really come in till after 4000rpm which was making me unsure of the tdo5 apart from gearbox and flywheel his mods are the same as mine

A TD05 should make a bar of boost at 3200/3300 rpm and peak within 300 rpm depending on set boost. That will depend on mods in addition.

I agree with Bob - my car is sporting one of these td05-16g's, and it's on full chat (1.5 bar) from 3600 rpm and onwards. 1 bar is reached around 3200 rpm....meaning it's very driveable from as low as 2500 where it starts to come on song.
