Hi folks,
With a custom ecutek re-map it is advisable to get the samco intercooler hoses fitted i belive, but would it matter if a few days went by after the re-map before the hoses were fitted? or does it make a difference to the mapping, so is best to have them fitted before hand?
Cheers,
James.

Cr#p the software is a learning program and WILL adjust in time to the increased airflow gained by the Samco hoses.Dont worry about fitting them after the re-map the gains are only minimal with the new hoses.

If it is a custom map.. then you should fit the intercooler hoses before hand.
The mapper will be able to run more advance with a cooler intake temp and the extra air flow may require more fuel to be added..
Get it mapped and then add the intercooler pipework and you are wasting your time buying them imho, and may run the car lean.
If it was a generic map then no matter, but for a custom one you should get all the planned mods on first.
The ECU learns but only up to the settings added by the mapper..
more often than not removing advance when knock is detected.
If the advance is retards it will add it back in slowly, but only up to the values added by the mapper.
If in doubt then ask the person that is mapping it.
