In simple terms lets you know by using 5 lights (2 green, 2 amber and one very bright one!!) how much knock (pinking, detonation)there is on your engine at any time throughtout your journey.
Very useful tool!
For more detailed description I would suggest running a search as there is plenty of information on these.
I have one on my Type-R and I feel much happier now. Very easy to fit as well!
