Help...Steam thread two......more problems
#1
Hi all,
If you have read my thread on HELP STEAM COMING FROM ENGINE then heres the latest.
Finally found a tiny L shaped rubber pipe that had split which was like one of you guys mentioned, a bugger to get to. Had to take intercooler off and use some long nose pliers and hot water to gett he old pipe off, then spent 3 hours trying to find a shop that had some rubber hose.
Anyway its now back on and i put some water and coolant into the engine.
Started the car and the CHECK ENGINE light is on and the fans have come on immediately and wont stop.???? (just read a previous thread stating it may be the a water cooler sensor)
Is it possible that i did not have enought water in the engine and it sensed this and stuck the fans on, i stopped the engine and then re checked the water levels, added more coolant and squeezed the top pipe, air bubbles came out of the header tank, did this till no more bubbles appeared.???
Checked coolant and its full now and not dissapearing into the system anymore, but the fans are still on and check engine light is on.
IS there a bleed valve for the coolant system as i may have more air trapped in it?
Help?

Ok i know have engine fault codes flashing as listed below:
22 Knock sensor (apparently attatched to intercooler mounting bracket bolts, ive had the cooler off today so i may have dis lodged it?)
13 camshaft position sensor
21 engine coolant temp sensor

Scooby Regular
If it's not armed it shouldn't do anything
Or just try this: http://www.saxonfields.freeserve.co....htm#_ECU_Reset
