It would be interesting to see what the benefits might be.

I've seen some pictures of the injector's spray pattern being quite badly disrupted, which may well affect atomisation of the fuel and impair combustion.

The before and after pictures were quite dramatic. I don't know if this occurs on all cars naturally as they age, over what period of time / milleage, or if only in isolated cases.

Edit - I just read your link, and it appears to be a straight forward fuel additive. I was referring to ultrasonic cleaning above (which would be a little more than £53

Sounds like an additive to clean out your fuel pipes and the injectors themselves. Maybe also cleans some deposits out of the cylinder itself ?

Anyway, I had the injectors ultrasonically cleaned and flow tested at Powerstation on my old GT4 and it did make a hell of a difference. Idle was smoother, pick up was better and overall just drove better. Cost was around £80 or so at the time.

Whether this additive does exactly the same thing, I don't know.

Cheers

Ian

I takes about an hour using a dedicated machine and solvents to clean injectors properly, using a fuel aditive isnt going to replicate that.

When Optimax was introduced EVO ran a test on 3 cars. BMW, Jag and something else.

From memory they showed the valves of the engine and the contamination before and after 1000 miles use of Shells best.

The after 1k miles showed a huge improvement and all the contamination had been removed due to the aditives that Shell used in the fuel.

Surely this would do the same for the injectors ! If so why pay extra to have them cleaned ?

Just my 5 pence worth
